Not Your Usual Site Photos: A Touch Of Poetry At The Construction Site
By Simon Wee

Such is our way of thinking—we find beauty not in the in the thing itself but in the patterns of shadows, the light and the darkness, the one thing against another creates.

In Praise of Shadows (1933)

I was introduced to Photography by my art teacher in Secondary 2, when I was a student in  Chong Hwa High School, Kluang, Malaysia, back in 1965. After joining my school’s Photography Club, I learned how to handle different types of cameras and photography techniques, developing and printing black & white pictures. Within a few months I became one of the “School Photographers”, taking on assignments like shooting for school sport events, group photos and other festive events.

I enjoy shooting still life, building structures, interiors, scenery and holiday pictures. I have great passion for this hobby and the camera has remained close to me all these years.♦

Simon Wee is a Senior C&S Consultant at CPG. These photographs were taken for a project that is currently under construction.
